Most of my recent posts have been fanciful, but from the real "Pay It Forward" department I just witnessed the ultimate horse trade.

SB_Biker brought in an extra shirt from CFR that was not her size. She offered to just give it to me, but drooling at how cool the shirt was (you CFR folks totally showed us WFO folks up and we'll have to do better on shirts next year ;) ), and at least traded her for the single NAFO shirt I had leftover. That worked out because it was her size.

Armed with a medium CFR shirt I spotted Iron Maiden and handed it to her for her tremendous help as staff. It looks great on her!

She then dropped $20 into the Tyler fund...and was handed raffle tickets. If she ends up winning the HID lights....no word on if she's going to give them to somebody. ;)

Sorry to miss the WFO this year but had to make a decision to save my energy, bike and bucks for the IBR. I shall truly miss all of you up there. Wishing all great riding and I am sure it will be a first class WFO. Sure hope I can be there at the next one in 2010.

Lisa, you have the most wonerful smile on your face and you look terrific in MellowYellow!! My regards to the Chief??

It's Saturday morning and 8 Saddle Sore riders made it on a big 1000 mile loop of Idaho, Montana, and Washington....with no traffic awards or untimely critter encounters.

The parking lot is largely empty again right now as people are exploring roads, it's getting pretty warm in the sunshine, and people will be coming back for our final night's social affair.

Shishkabobs and fried chicken were last night's fare and tonight is the serious beef and salmon feedbag.

Some photos if you haven't seen are here.

This picture in....Warchild it seems was all rufeed up yesterday and doesn't remember anything....and denies anything happened with a BMW.

"I did what yesterday?"

The parking lot may be empty, but the "Quiet Bar" is seeing its share of business this afternoon. The fact that it has already got up to a warm 98 here (107 in nearby Lewiston/Clarkston) may have something to do with it. Too bad there's no outdoor pool. The local high-school swim team will be back soon to help remove the bugs from the bikes that braved the hot temps and went out for a ride. We heard they did well on collections yesterday.

Yesterday we did a short ride out to Elk River (no elk seen) for huckleberry pie topped with huckleberry ice cream. Yum! Nearby was a "Too broke for Sturgis" gathering going on. We didn't check it out.

For those of you who couldn't make it this year (you know who you are), we miss you.

Hugs and kisses from Ide-A-Ho!

Iggy here from WFO and we gorged on our final banquet. Beef Wellington and smoked baked salmon...and games with photos to follow.

I think to sum up the feel of WFO has been one of casual friendliness. Certainly smaller than NAFO and the several previous WFOs. Warchild described it as "Warm. Warm friendliness amongst attendees and a chance to get to know each other a lot more closely."

We sorta forgot to schedule a group photo by day...but experimented with a group night shot:

Maybe more later, but if not....signing off from WFO-8 in Moscow.

I had a great time, but left early Saturday am to go over Lolo pass and meet up with my brother visiting in Montana. Lolo Pass had one Leo I noticed about 40 miles from the summit in a black SUV giving a ticket to a cage. Great ride! Thanks to everyone making this event happen!

And a link to pics taken Friday eve. for those interested:

WFO8 Friday Eve. Pictures

I did not own an FJR at the time of WFO1, but had made to all since then. . . until WFO8.

So, thanks to all for the pics and the posts. It's not like being there but it does help quite a bit.

Wow! I am always racking my little brain trying to come up with a new idea for the group shot every year at SFO...but I have not come up with something this cool! Great thinkin! Love it!

Hope everyone had a good time and has a safe ride home.

Very nice group shot! and nobody dropped their bikes

despite high amounts of alcohol and the 10 minutes of

high concentration of CO in rows 4-8,,, I was very

dizzy by the time the shoot session was over.
