Haven't seem them in ten years or so, was excited to go. Took the video camera (as always), and worked on this video last night. Very hot day, tons of people and the Blue Angels did not disappoint!

Also there was a F22 Raptor, F4 Phantom, A10 Warthog, Extra 300 and a biplane in attendance. Great way to spend the fourth of July.

Hope you enjoy it. (Follow the link to Vimeo, cause it looks a lot better than the youtube version).

By far, the best video maker on our humble forum is you. The Blue Angels segment was breathtaking. Awesome job of capturing the speed, sound and fury of warbirds in flight. Very very good!

Great stuff! Well shot and very nicely put together :good:

I've got a 7D also but my primary use is stills but I need to try this moving picture thing, I think it'll catch on

How big of a memory card do you use and how much shooting time do you get from it?

Very nice presentation ! Felt like I was watching the Discovery Channel and thinking you could do this for a living. Good job Chris !

We drove up for the day to go watch that. I thought it was a really good show. Blue Angels are one of my favorite acts to see. Once went diving in Pensacola, FL and they were practicing over our heads all day long. Truly impressive.

Nice work on the video. I only captured a few still pics with a point and shoot.

Wow, thanks so much. I am just glad that people enjoy the videos I make.

Rick,

I had three cards with me that day. An 8Gig and Two 4 Gigs. I filled them entirely. It really depends on what frame rate you are shooting at. I was filming at a very high rate to

capture the props. Normally I like to stay near 60, but I was upwards of 1000 that day.

That's my favorite channel!

If I could figure out a way to make a living at this I would jump on it.

Thanks for all the replies, I really appreciate it.

Chris. So COOL. gives me the shivers watching those dudes.

I haven't seen them in years but yours was a great presentation.

Also the warhog is one ugly mother but that birds maneuverablity in person is awesome also.

Thanks a lot

The Angels Rock! I have a poster of them hanging in my office - and I'm not one for things hanging on the wall at work. Great Video... :clapping:
