Wife said she saw a bike with blue led's that looked cool and wondered if I could do that to ours. I had already been checking them out at the local Harley hangout where there's a guy that installs them. He recommended customdynamics.com saying their lights were bluer blues, redder reds, .... Bought the extreme package, then purchased 4 more for the middle of the bike where it was dark. Great customer service! Spent about $250 with a remote control that gives 4 intensity levels (all on), 3 strobe effects and a breathing effect that's cool. Put them on a circuit off the blue sea fuse block. Pretty simple install but took time getting the lights/wires hidden. He gave a good tip saying to use a 9 volt battery to clip on to each light to locate where you want it. The garage door would go down for the location then up for the install. There's not much draw off the battery so you can leave them on for some time without worrying. One of the lights went behind the fjr cut-out on the tray that shows through. During a day drive, the lights on the brightest setting are somewhat noticeable and are perfect on the lowest setting while driving at night. The Datel (bikes not running), radar detector and smart tire all have blue led read out. These pictures were taken with the lights on the brightest setting and would have looked better dimmed down a little.

When I was first looking at "sportier" bikes than the BMW F650 I owned, I was thinking that a white VFR lit up at night with a bunch of white LEDs coming out from inside the plastic would make a very noticeable ride in the dark.

I think that if you could get some fairly directional LEDs and set them so that they lit up some of the outside of the bike (rather than just the chopper-esque glowing engine) then you'd have a bike that would be nearly impossible to miss (and by "miss" I mean "hit") in low-light riding.

The look I want is kind of like that shot in one of the Star Trek movies where the Enterprise is sitting in SpaceDock and the running lights start coming on one by one. Combine that with a rice-rod-style CCFL underneath sitting the bike in a moving pool of light on the road and you'd be the least invisible bike on the road.

I've got a very similar setup on my '08. I love the "breathing" mode on the remote. HINT: if you are ever out on a country 2 lane road at nite, and some cager is plugging along at 20mph below the speed limit, hit your #1 strobe...hehehee...watch em pull over and make way! :assassin:

Where the hell'd you put the 16" subwoofer?
Exactly..! I was expecting to hear a little backing track, something like "... thump thump git-r-dan git-r-dan (thumpa thumpa) thump thump git-r-dan git-r-dan (thumpa thumpa) thump thump git-r-dan git-r-dan (thumpa thumpa)..."

I've been thinking a bout putting blue LEDs on my 05. That looks so sharp on sliver, it must look even better on blue!

Your bike looks like a rolling porno...

...and I never said that was a bad thing!
