I don't know if any of you like this music, but I just thought I would share a few things. I listen to a radio show on the local country music station Every Sunday night, 10pm to midnight, they play this type of music. As the DJ was talking he said the San Diego Bluegrass Society meets every Tuesday night at a different restaurant in town. The wife and I decided to go. Let me tell you those guys were good. There was even a competition fiddle player there. The guy was awesome. If you are interested in this type of music, it's worth checking out.

Love bluegrass. Was a fiddle playin' member of an upstart band for about a year back in '03. I didn't have the time to really get up to speed as fast as I would like...not with work, family...riding my new '04 FJR, etc. :)

On a similar note (pun intended  ), I ran across Blue Ridge Music Center on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia when I was on my way to EOM in September. For anyone traveling that route this summer, you may want to stop in there to check out a show or even just to take a walk through the interperative center/museum which houses a number of photographs, instruments, etc... highlighting the music of the area. They obviously spent alot of money on this place and judging by the photos of past performances, it looks like it would be a fun place to see a little fiddlin'.

Not real busy in September. One Park Rangers vehicle, the girl's car who worked in the shop, and a couple on a Harley. Perfect time of year to ride the BRP. I would see a car maybe every 10 miles or so.
