While I did like that avatar a LOT too...and am hoping that he's at least as much of old fart as I am, so that I don't have to feel like a pedophile looking at his kid...

This thread kinda pisses me off. Just 10 or 15 mins ago, I was two threads higher on the list of new posts, and added this: clicky about how I'm convinced it's engine vibration.

Hmmm, well that could be a contributing factor. Wouldn't hurt to retorque the motor mount bolts. What is the secret sequence for doing it?

One more stupid ? from an FNG...I've noticed my right side mirror gets blurry where the left one stays pretty clear. I've tightened up the nut holding it outside the fairing; no love. Do I need to start removing plastic to tighten a bracket underneath it all, or is this a normal thing on an 06.

The trick is to vibrate your right eye at the same frequency as the mirror.

I bought a '05 with extra long mirrors three days ago and before test riding I noticed both mirrors were so loose they were flopping around. When I test drove it I was surprised both reflections were clear. I tightened them up yesterday, both nuts on both sides were half way off, and now they vibrate. I'm going to blue loctite the nuts half way off and let them flop.

If you do a search I think you will find the blurry right mirror issue has come up a couple of times and it's really a natural effect of the FJR's in-line four at certain RPMs. I'm paraphrasing what someone more knowledgeable than myself once posted. In short, the right mirror will always be blurry to some degree.
