Darn...

That sounds like a good one - except... i have a 9 a.m. appointment at Roseville Yamaha to get my rear tire replaced on Saturday - otherwise Susan and I would join you.

Dave Mig.

Mike, Jan and I are thinking about joining you on this one. The big question is where to meet up. In Sac, in Winters, or at Moscowite Corners? Not sure where the Chevron station is in Sac. Any guesses on when you would be leaving Moscowite Corners?

I have to mount some new rubber tonight. I was hoping to get a few more miles from the existing tires, but I got rock hole flat in the rear and had to plug it trip before last. Just not sure it is safe.

John

Dang, sounds like a fun group. Fambly coming Saturday (fortunately, also a fun group).

Hope to see you all soon,

John, Moskowite Corners is about 1 hr. from the Chevron. I figure to be at Moskowite 10:15, or so. When we leave is anyone's guess. 10:30-ish?

Okay, I'm in. Possibly 2 up. Possibly not.
What time do you think you'll be at the Calistoga Arco?

Mark
Mark, if we get out of Moskowite around 10:30, it's about 35-40 minutes to the Arco in Calistoga. I'd guess round 11:15-11:30. I'll PM you my cell and you can check in with us around 10:15 to see how things are "cooking".

Scratch me madmike2. I've too much crap that needs doing before Idaho.Y'all be safe.
Yeah...yeah...yeah! I figured that once the other WFO-bound riders reneged that you'd join their chorus.

What, afraid we won't see any dams?!?!?! ;)

Seriously, Michael, get your planning, maintenance and home business finshed so you can enjoy our time at WFO. Uhm....hug all my girlfriends for me, would you?!?! It's safe, they all know MY hugs are better! B)

Ray, it's our "semi-secret-FJR-rendezvous-location":

Chevron

4815 West Capitol Blvd.

West Sacramento

Coming from your direction, I-80 East across the Yolo Causeway. The first off ramp (before the I-80 Reno "split") is "Enterprise Blvd/West Capitol Ave." Take the off ramp and turn left at the signal at the bottom of the off ramp. That will take you under I-80 and the road curves to the right onto West Capitol. The Chevron is the first business on the left.

Our meet time is 0900.

You could take 680 North to I-80, head East and stay in the right lane for the Suisun Valley Road off ramp. Turn left at the signal and ride past the college. From the off-ramp, Suisun Valley Road (becomes Wooden Valley Rd) T's into Monticello Rd in 14 miles.

Turn right 5.5 miles to the intersection at Capell Valley Rd. (that's Hwy 121: [Monticello Rd.] and Hwy 28 [Capell Valley Rd.].

That intersection is Moskowite Corners. When you turn left there will be a restaurant parking lot on the right where all types, kinds and sorts of motorcycles and motorcyclists meet to ride. The last time I was there the restaurant was closed...but who knows?!?!

We are then going to ride Westerly on Capell Valley Rd. (Hwy 28) 16 miles, past Lake Hennesey, to Silverado Trail where we'll turn right and head 13.3 miles to Calistoga.

Turn left at the "T", through Calistoga 1 mile to the "T" at Foothill Blvd. (Shell on the left, 76 on the right). Turn right 1 mile to the signal at Petrified Forest Rd. Turn left and left into the ARCO....lots of parking and a rest area on the West side of the huge parking lot.

The Corners market, cafe and bar were open again. BBQ place now. Had a good pork sandwich a couple weeks ago.
