Very interesting stuff...

I'm a bit surprised Hopkins is willing to go to Kawi; behind the Tech 3 Yamahas and Roberts, they are they slowest bikes on the grid. Sounds like money talks though. I would bet also that Monster has a lot to do with it as they sponser him personally and have a bit contract with Kawasaki. I'm sure they sweetened the pot significantly.

It will be interesting to see what he can do for/with Kawasaki next year.

Holy Chit ! I was kinda hoping y'all were talking about one of his girlfriends...but this is fascinating news indeed !

I'm a bit surprised though, he's had the talent, just not the machine, to give Rossi and Loris and others a real run.

To go to yet another relative GP newbies just as Suzuki have finally got it going on ! I spose money talks which is

why I better shut up...

Jason Disalvo said it best when I asked him why Jamie Hacking went from Yamaha to Kawasaki "green is the color of money". In all seriousness - good for him. I think the Kawi is much better than the results have shown and Hopper has great development experience. I think he'll do well and I wish him the best.

I hope it all works out for him. I thought the Suzuki development program over the last couple of years was going to be the end of him....many "interesting" get-offs!

Maybe Kawi and "Hopper" will be a good combination for both of them.

Thats a shame. I was looking forward to him getting a few podiums next year. He will slip down a bit now. Maybe he will be good for a loan but will his career ever again reach the point he is at now? If he does 2 seasons on a back of the field bike will he have any chance to get back ona quick one?
