I did see some good tips on how to remove boot marks from the mid pipes on the FJR. Would you all mind repeating those remarks?

I found the perfect solution to my problem. I paid a little visit to Orchard Supply Hardware tonight. I bought a couple of things, but the first one I tried did the trick.

I have Leo Vince slip-ons, which have stainless steel mid pipes with a brushed type finish. I bought a Scotch-Brite Heavy Duty grill scrub. It is made for cleaning burnt-on stuff on the barbeque grill. It is a piece of really tough Scotch-Brite on a plastic base with a handle. I easily brushed the boot marks off in seconds without any cleaning agents whatsover. Simple and quick. I think the thing was $5.00

Thanks all for the input.

I spray a little EZ-OFF oven cleaner in the palm of my hand and smear it on the marks with my finger. Let it set for 8-10 minutes and it wipes right off.

DON'T GET THE OVEN CLEANER ON YOUR ALUMINUM OR YOUR PAINT!!! IF YOUR HANDS AREN'T TOUGH, YOU MAY LOSE A LITTLE SKIN!!! :nono:

Try plain old ordinary rubbing compound or ajax/comet sink cleaner mixed with a little elbow grease.
