I used to ride with hiking boots. I really liked the Rocky Eliminators (and the Eliminator II). They have to be good because they're "blood borne pathogen proof". We all know that wading ankle-deep through the blood of the competitors is what rallying is all about.
Then I got my first set of Oxtar Matrix boots. I'd never go back to a "street" boot for riding any more than going back to street clothes for riding gear. They have long-since changed their name to Oxtar MXT (or something) boots but the fit and quality remain high.
