ok,here it is.saturday night went down to the rally dinner for a burger(thanks barb and all involved).went to bed early cuz i started out the door at 5 to make the 620 ferry out of nacimwhatever it is to cross over to vancover to begin.IN THE RAIN.
ryan and jeanette were my riding partners in the beginning.got off the ferry and hit the 2nd exit for a printed reciept to start the game.
rode thru vancover and down to border crossing.what a pain in the ass.originally wanted to do the insanity b to b wich needs to be done in 24 hours.not a good start averaging 40 mph the first two.took forever at the border into usa.
rode in the rain all the way to just past seattle where i left the wonderful canadian weather to the canadians..lol
at portland we split up and i hauled ass south.got to lake shasta area just around dark and even passed a dead deer on the shoulder.wtf.driving lights on and straining to see bambi and his family for hours is not my idea of fun.anyway saw that the 24 hour window was getting to close to take a chance,i pulled over at a cheap hotel from 1030 to 4.
hit it at 4 and once i got past stockton straight and fast.
hit the mexican crossing at 220 monday.crossed in,almost got tboned and made the right turn back into obamaville.took forever to cross back over.
final report.my ass hurts.30 hours elapsed and zumo says it all.cross another one off the bucket list.
