Boston Moto Trackdays

It is my honor to let you all know about a new trackday orgaization for 2009, Boston Moto.

Boston Moto has been the sole Pirelli tire distributors at New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the Loudon Road Racing Series and have recently expanded horizons in order to meet trackday demands on the East Coast.

Please feel free to click on the link located within my signature to find some preliminary dates for 2009. Boston Moto will be adding more dates over the course of the winter in the hopes to ride as many tracks as possible.

As a control rider for Boston Moto, I would like to answer any questions you may have regarding the trackdays for 2009 or feel free to contact Boston Moto directly through our website.

We offer bike transportation to and from the venues as well as onsite purchase, mounting and balancing of track-oriented Pirelli tires (DOT's and slicks).

Bergs, I'd really like to try a track day this year. I have no racing aspirations, but would like to learn to be a better rider and to push my personal comfort envelope slightly.

This might be my first failed test, but I don't find a banner in your signature anywhere. Looking for more information on just what is required for these events (attire, equipment, etc.)

zip- As I said in my PM to you, you don't need to be a racer to fully enjoy a trackday with Boston Moto. However, we do have groups that support the racer-types.

We will help in whatever way we can in order for you to acheive your goals....be it body position advice, handling your machine at speed or general tips on sport-type riding in an efficient manner which we do within a controlled and predictable environment--> your own personal closed course!

No judging or pushing you beyond your own comfort zone. We look forward to helping anyone and everyone with their riding goals.......goals that, once acheived, will make you a safer, quicker thinking and more able street or track rider.

If anyone is interested in riding at VIR North on March 16 and 17, let me know and I'll send you the proper information.

As of right now, the March dates at VIR are not on the official schedule (last I checked). This is a great opportunity to shake off the winter cob webs as well as tune your skills and machine alike.

road runner- Replied to your PM and I'm pretty sure Bluegrass is in Kentucky (now you have me wanting to take my FJR out for a trackday or two just for fun)

Registration for VIR North in March is coming to a close very soon!

$185/ day

Also, we have a block of garages as well as the onsite rooms....all on the cheap!! I think 4 of us are splitting a room for something like $35 each.....the garages are right in that same neighborhood for 6 people.

Well, anyone who was interested but didn't go definitely missed a great two days with Boston Moto at VIR North.

First day started off pretty damp and chilly, which aided in shaking off the winter season cobwebs and allowed everyone to practice smoothness.

Rain was forcasted to arrive at 11 am......which turned into 2:30 PM. We adjusted our schedule by moving lunch up an hour in order to provide as much dry track time as possible. When the rains came we decided to have a pit-bike race to break up the rainy day...

...and while my pit-bike may be slow, in the end it beats the bicycle! :laugh4:

Day 2 started off damp from the previous day's rain but quickly dried out by 10-ish in the morning. Temps rose to about 65* and the pace got very quick in all groups!

Toward the later half of the day we opted to combine the Novice and Intermediate groups and run 1/2 hour sessions. The Expert group was simply amazing to watch.....too bad I didn't have my race bike for this one as the FZ1 was completely out-classed!

All in all it was a complete success on many fronts and I look forward to seeing some of you at future trackdays with Boston Moto!
