Both headlights on with engine running?

I noticed my left headlight (2012 FJR) was off with the engine running and on low beam. The Yamaha dealer said it's only on with high beam. I could have sworn I've seen both on...... but maybe my old memory is worse than I thought, lol

They should both be on, both bulbs are hi-low. They must be thinking of an R1

Your dealer is wrong, your memory is right, and you likely have a blown low beam bulb....unless you've fiddled with wiring. You might replace both H4s as they tend to go out around the same time.

Yes. What Ignacio said. I just replaced both of mine on one of my FJR's after one blew out. got a whiter version of the light bulbs.

For a Gen 2 - do yourself a favor and go LED. It is amazing how much light you get.
