Yeah...so...

I made calls to all the Eastern WA dealers this week and learned there were only a handeful of 690 Enduros left in the state, and the next units ('13's) won't be here until April...

After that, things unfolded quickly. I90 offered up s sweetened deal. Everyone else was stuck at $10,300 or more and nothing else. A couple dealers flat told me to buy elsewhere because they were out of stock, etc.

The plan WAS to buy in Sept., but I jumped the gun. Excited. Wanting to ride. Not wanting to miss the current stockof bikes...which I'm sure will now last through 2014 on show room floors...

NOT going to help me today with my jeans and mesh airflow jacket... I just KNEW this morning I should have taken the truck! Weather report said clear, but my knee said rain and the dogs looked at me funny and the air tasted like rain and my divining rod was pointed straight up <insert joke here> and still I took the FJR to work - how many signals do I need to learn to ignore the weather report for the day...?

600cc enduros are a blast to ride.. I've got the Husqvarna TE630 and almost enjoy it better than the FJR at times..

Just make sure you lever on some real dirt tires before you get too far off the pavement so you don't hurt yourself and do not skimp on protective gear..

600cc enduros are a blast to ride.. I've got the Husqvarna TE630 and almost enjoy it better than the FJR at times..

Yeah, I got sick of taking the FJR offroad, too...

Just make sure you lever on some real dirt tires before you get too far off the pavement so you don't hurt yourself and do not skimp on protective gear..

Word - on tires (comes with Pirelli MT 21s now, so OK to start I figure...

Don't ghey it up, farkels = Ghey. Upgrading or replacing broken items with high performance parts = cool.

Dirt bikers don't "farkle" they "mod". Dirt bikers who say "farkle" are adventure riders.
