I was looking at my new 06 last night in the grudge and noticed that both the front brake and rear brake need to be somewhat engaged before the brake light comes on. I would really like for it to come on when I touch eitherr so that them freaking cagers will stay off my ass when I am turning, stopping or crawling in traffic. Do any of you FJR owners have any idea how to adjust the front and rear so that I can get them to engage the lights when I touch either the front or rear brake levers?

Remember, paintbrushes are the one thing I am actually able to operate with any competency!!!

thanks! :( :( :( ;) ;) ;)

On previous models the rear adjustment is inside of the right footrest.

You would have to take off the right footrest and then you have access to the brake switch.

On the lower end of the switch is a nut. If you turn it clockwise, the light will come on sooner (less pressure).

Don't know about the front.

All covered in your Owners Manual with pictures. No need to look any further, it tells you how to make these adjustments for the rear switch, as well as many other pedal and lever adjustments. No adjustment for the front, but you should be able to hear the switch activate as you slowly grab the front lever. No need to have bike on to hear the 'click'.

Do you have to remove the footrest/brake pedal subframe to access the brake light adjuster nut?

Thanks

i would be looking at the brake leaver switch , the front and the rear sould be inderpendent you should not need to press both brakes to get the brake light to come on
