Brake Pads

My son's friend is going to put Speigler lines on his 2002 GSX-R1000. As part of the upgrade, he wants to put on new pads. He's asked me to recommend a good set of replacement brake pads. The problem beng that I don't really know squat about squid pads. I run Carbone-Lorraine's on my FJR and I put EBC HH sintered pads on my son's Yamaha FZ6. I like the EBC's and will probably just recommend those unless someone can recommend pads that are "The ****" for this application. Keeping in mind that mega-poly-ceramic-spent uranuim-matrix pads are probably out of his price range.
