What you *should* have done, and *should* do in the future is VERY simple. Purchase some OEM brake pads at a discount ...
So, what color is everybody getting?
Funny boy. Revenge will be swift and sweet.
Old Michael, Skooty went with yellow, to match the new Spring sun dress, pumps, hat and handbag he just bought at Macy's!
You forgot about the stylish Pazzo brooche!

Damn Sam, SkooterG just keeps getting hotter and hotter. He wears a dress almost as well as Old Michael. Well, not really; but pretty damned close to Old Michael!

I wish I had thought to check a simple test while I was down there for that brunch last week: Bike on centerstand, push down on the back to raise the front, and have a buddy spin the front wheel. If it doesn't freewheel, your pistons aren't letting go of the rotors like they should and your brakes are dragging. You'll need caliper seals. That's about 130 bucks or so for the kits to get all them O-rings replaced. There are two different kits to accomodate the two different psiton sizes, and each kit does one pair of pistons. You need 2 of each kit.

If you need those seals but just replace the pads, expect to keep doing pads way too often.

Another thing is to remember to clean the spooge off the pistons with brake cleaner before retracting them to fit new pads. I've found out this helps the seals last a LOT longer, plus it keeps the fluid cleaner, of course.

I am sworn off EBC because of wear. I just reach 10,000 if I am lucky on any EBC HH I have run. I will order OEM to put back as spares. I love the way EBC feel, but they wear really fast! I have never had any eat a rotor though so that is a bit different to hear. While cheaper not sure if you roll through 3 sets of EBC to one set of OEM which is really cheaper?
