My '07 came with a BrakeAway when I bought it and it's really been nothing more than an a piece of eye candy...it has a 50/50 chance of working, if that, most of the time. What's frustrating is that it works 100% of the time while the bike's on the centerstand in the garage, but in a practical application on the road, all bets are off. It's been replaced by a $20 piece of composite that does a far better job.

I installed the MADco on my '07. As everyone states, works great on a flat road but hills are a problem for holding speed. I have a new ACC in my garage that I will be installing over the winter so the MADco will be up for sale - sometime.

Man, as JustHoward said, if youre going to spend that much on a throttle lock, you might as well look at full cruise. At that price, there is zero reason to choose the throttle lock over cruise.

I just bought install the vista cruise on my 05 yesterday per the instruction on this forum and wound up throwing it in the trash! Next, I went to the computer and ordered a breakaway. I have one on my warrior and it works perfectly!

Have one on my 2010… I think it’s pretty but that’s about it. I has snapped off a few times and startled me. I have never gotten the brake function to work right. And don’t use it more than a minute or 2 at a time as I am constantly adjusting the throttle anyway.

It’s a pricy farkle and the only one to date I don’t think was worth the money!
