Pointless, yes this thread falls into this catagory. With recently Recurring threads on different break-In methods, it got me thinking about the term BREAK-IN. Why would I want to BREAK my motor doing this period anyway. Where did that term come from? Maybe it should be called something else. Maybe call it "That Special first few moments in an Engines life that you should not ride the living **** out of it even though you REALLY WANT TO""! I know to wordeeee. What would you call it?.

Marriage, melding, buffering, rendering, corting, getting to know each other all come to mind. Breaking-in is as good a word/phase as any; many words, in the English language, share names but mean something totally different.

Glad to see this thread appear in the proper heading to start with. :)

"Break-In" makes sense. You want to BREAK it IN right away while it's still under warranty.

My Motto: "If it's built right you shouldn't be able to break it."

It's a good motto, but usually expensive! I find most stuff not built right. :D
