There is a FJR owner named Phil that is stuck in Seattle because his AE transmission will not shift. He asked for help in the FJR Specific area and did not get much of a response.

I have called him and he is looking for the dealers that are in the Seattle. I posted the erl for the dealers in response to his post.

Is there anyone in the Seattle area that could help him, he was headed to Golden.

Thanks

Kerry

I had an issue once with mine and all it was, was that the idle was set too high...It gave me a fault code on the main panel. I don't remember what is was.

Thanks, skifrik. But mine did not give an error code. The computer thinks the bike is in 3rd gear, but there is no power delivery going to the drive shaft. I am very sure it is a mechanical problem within the transmission, as the actuator rod moves when I attempt to shift by either foot or hand controls.

Then perhaps its a gear postion sensor. That is if the bike thinks it's in third, but its really in nutral. Also, it won't let you shift if it thinks that the kick stand is down...I'm just trying to think of the easy fixes first.

There was a re-call for some type of bracket for the shift line or arm some time ago. Did you have this done??

ARFJR had this problem on his bike. The weld broke and wouldn't allow him to shift.

Just wondering.
