Broken Glovebox latch

Anybody have any luck getting the glovebox latch covered under warranty? Mine just stopped working in the closed position with the lid open. Any experience replacing the latch by itself? I haven't really looked into what is involved with removing/replacing the glovebox. Any input is appreciated.

Is it still under warranty or do you have the extended warranty? If so, don't know why it wouldn't be covered.

It's still under warranty. Off to the dealer I go for the first time since purchase.

Good luck. Let us know how you make out. That's the first I've heard of a malfunctioning glovebox latch.

His solenoid choked... it froze in the locked (closed) position with the lid open. Either the plug fell out or the solenoid **** the bed...

It is an '04. Should I leave the Givi trunk on or take it off (gotta make sure it's a match)

Depends...I plan on buyin' a V46 for Christmas, with the top rack, so if that's what you've got, leave it on. :thumbup:
