Good info, thanks for the heads up. Been considering a spring ride on the Parkway myself around the end of May. Should be an easy detour in that location.

The section of 221 that parallels the BRP in that area is outstanding between Blowing Rock and Linville and the speed limit is 55. If you can do 55 on that section you are doing something! If you are going north you can get off on 221 just before the closure. If you are going south get off onto 221 at Blowing Rock.
