I think our problem is that we don't get snow, but sleet. The roads are pretty treacherous and drivers are inexperienced and/or stupid. Rural areas like mine are worse.

I considered going a quarter mile from home to WalMart, but there's a car in the ditch outside my house. Maybe later!

No, I understand I just hadn't watched any news so was asking a serious question.

I am from Texarkana. Well water and just about every year ice and freezing up the water lines. I would perfer snow over the weather there anyday. We don't get the ice like you guys do....

Where's the global WARMING? Had a nice fire last night and when the wind shifted you could hear everybody turn testicles into ovaries. I think mine finally descended an hour ago! :dribble:

C'mon, toughen up, girls!

16 degrees F when I rode the Blackbird in to work this morning... no electric clothing, either!

You nancy-lads on a full-fairing bike like the FJR have got it easy... :haha:

The FJR has a great heater on it for those high teen rides to work in the morning! :D Definately no global warming problem here!

You don't work out of your home do you?
Nope... I wish!

Admittedly, it's only a 8-mile commute each way.... but 16 degrees is tough going on the Blackbird... on that bike, you are part of the airstream!

At times I think working at home would be great too, but I don't know that I have the disipline to, well, work at home! Gotta tell you that I actually like riding in 25 degree weather way mo better than in 95 degree weather. Shorter rides, but less miserable.

OK, How about -45! West Yellowstone! :cold: (the only part of Yellowstone park that is in Montana other than a little at Mammoth Hot Springs) and they advertise it as the who darn park is in Montana! How bout about 5% of the park in Montana 2% in Idaho and 93% in Wyoming.

Wyoming IS what Montana used to be! :haha:

Get used to it Montana! No one counts the Ice in their drink. :coolio:

So Montana is irrelevant! (in the big picture)! :rip:

Sheesh, I wish I could whine about the cold now. The temp is back up to a balmy 32 during the day. Too bad there's 6 inches of snow in my driveway (significant incline, too) and more on the way.

My FJR is down for the count due to inclement weather. Bummer. It may be weeks before my driveway thaws out. Those new Widders just sitting there... :(

I did finally get a dual sport. I think I can probably get out of the driveway on my WR250F. Those knobbies don't seem to mind the snow (drive's not iced up...yet). Think I may have to do a few laps just to "break grace".

Looking forward to visiting those cool temps in Montana & Wyoming. Just going to wait until July to sample them!! :D

I have been telling you kids time and time again to move to texas. You might get one or two days of ice and sleet where you shouldn't ride. Otherwise, year round riding. Oh, wait....chick fight in the mud.....gotta love tnt.

I keep telling my wife we outta retire, really retire, in Texas. Very hard sell. I'm going to have to take her around the hill country and show her how beautiful it is - and then there are the frijoles!

Wyowags, I have lived in Montana for the past 35 years. I have watched it go from a real Western state to an arm of California! Montana used to log the forest. Now they all try to hump the trees!

Montana used to drill for oil and dig up coal. Now they smoke pot and cook Meth!

It's just sickening to see how Montana has gone down hill.

It's mostly Western Montana. (Missoula). Billings, Greatfalls, Miles city are still all hanging on, but the University of Montana is a very bad influence on the whole state :nono: and it is in Missoula.

Enough said. I moved to Wyoming, where the West is still the West! :guns:
