I am restoring a 1971 m70 bultaco El montadero . Does any one know of any one out there that has any parts to fit this model? I'm already in touch with the basic sites like Hughs Bultaco and Buds, Moberlys etc .

Good luck with your restoration project! I haven't seen a Bultaco since 1976!

If there are parts you can't find stateside, I'm often in Spain on business. Let me have the part #s and I'll try and get them for you.

Hopefully, with some luck, and hard work, and MONEY , I'll be able to post a pic of this bike in the near future.

Brings back fond memories of my '71 Sherpa S 200. Not much low end but when it "came on the pipe", watch out 'cause all hell was breaking loose !

You're at all the 'right' places. Nice offer by teerex, too. I have a '78 Pursang 370 reed-valve (mostly complete) I'd like to sell and a Bul 250 engine (can't remember, right now, which one). I get thru IA once-in-a-while -- PM me if interested (they may be parts for-U or good trading-material?).

Flashback, maybe I need to find an old Elsinore to restore. Those where some good times way back when, me chasing Bultacos, Bultacos chasing me.

Well God Bless you. My first "dirt bike" was a '69 El Montadero. My wife still occasionally ******* at me for heating the engine cases in the kitchen oven so I could put a set of wide ratio gears in it for enduro riding. I had a bunch of great riding on that bike and am sorry I sold it to buy a 450 Husky. Well, that worked out OK also.

I recieved a few Ebay parts. It is a rolling chassis again. the first time it's been on two wheels since the early 80's. I'm gaining. motor is in Yuma AZ. at BUDS BULTACO getting freshened up.once I get all the parts we will put it together once to make sure it all fits then do a tear down and do final paint etc. But lately I have BIKE WEEK on my mind!!!!!!!!!

There is a bike flea market in Eustis Fla. every year at the beginning of bike week with lots of vintage parts for all makes which may interest you. Also Jerry Woods auction at Stetson College in Deland is good. Everything is in crates so you have to know what you're looking for.

You should give stef a nod for his offer.

You right , I do appreciate your offer Stef. I will try to find all the pieces over here, but you may be getting a pm or two in the future if there gets to be some impossible stuff to locate over here Thanks for the offer. Jim
