One of the forum members put this web site in a reply. It has a busa set up for touring  for what i say....the salt flats :D thought any one who didnt see it would appriciate the bike as well as every thing this site offers...happy fjr'n ( www.pashnit.com )

I had a 2003 'Busa and I took it from Eugene, OR to Denver, CO and up to Sturgis, SD in about 32hours. My back and neck were fine, my butt was a little sore, but not enough to consider a break but my right hand was toast (I have carpal tunnel I think). I had Throttlemiesters but they didn't help in the end.

Sooooo, I'd like to put in my vote for the 'Busa being a darned nice touring buddy

That's the nicest looking Busa I've seen to date. It's really really sharp.

The only thing that Suzuki needs to do to that bike now is lose the gay ass japanese character on the front of the bike. I don't care what it means or how cool anyone thinks it is, it is stupid as hell. Out of all the bikes out there and all the dislikes I have about them, that thing is way up there on the lame scale.

There, I feel better now.

Yup, they are Corbin Beetle Bags. Pretty, store lots of clothes, but the opening is on the small side from the top only. I'll post more photos from different angles if anyone is interested.

I had mirror extensions, Helibars, Throttlemiester, centerstand, one tooth UP in the front (65mph @ 3300rpm, 6th gear), Doubble Bubble (Laminar Lip after that), heated hand grips and a tank bra. Toured just fine, $900 later.

Tim Mayhew is "pashnit" and rides the Busa. Over July 4 weekend, a friend on a BMW K1200S and I (on the Feejer) did a three day trip up in the Trinity Alps area of NW Calif. On the second day, we rode from Yreka south and west along the Klamath River on 96 (spectacular views and world class motorcycle road), coincidentally at the same time that Tim had one of his Pashnit tours going through there. We saw him several times, and what's impressive is how he handles that camera and his Busa.

He'd see something and double back to stop and take a picture, then we'd see him go ripping by us, only to see him a couple turns up the road, off the Busa and snapping pictures of us going by. The guy has it down, and the pictures on his site speak to his composition and photography skills.

Someone once asked the satirical question:

Do they get many requests for English phrases and slogans in tatoo parlors in Japan? :p :p :p :p :p

This fad has got to die a natural death already!!!!!

That is a great looking bike.how was the lower back after that many miles
Perfectly fine... my right hand was the only problem... Carpal tunnel was horrible on that trip.. took more than a month to get the feeling back, but that's happened on all the bikes I've had on long trips.
