Powershouse-

I think the real fun would be if you could provide

us with the Leg 2 bonus locations , and while you are at it a list of rider codes! LOL

Imagine a rally with rider cards to be swiped at bonus locations for real time scoring. Then every rider must have a SPOT tracker AND a GO PRO type device showing their helmet cam view.

One site with hyper links to all info. Now that would be fun to follow. Maybe not desired by the riders, but fun for arm chair quarterbacks.

I would do it ... all that is needed to preserve most of my peace of mind would be a one hour delay on the location page. Quite honestly, I don't care but I appreciate that some do.

One rider provided almost real-time photo uploads of bonuses to Facebook on the 5 and Dime (with MERA permission), and the Big Money Rally has real-time scoring.

One day a Rally Master is going to put those elements together, and it would be great if it were the 2015 IBR.

Three reasons this will not happen; lawyers, competition and Dollywood.

Heaven forbid but if a lawyer or even some lawmakers got a hold of Spot tracking info, GoPro footage, Facebook posts and other bits of information they could put an end the LD rallies.

I think it was the '07 IBR where a competitor used tracking info to see what bonuses the competition was getting so they could adjust their routing accordingly.

Dollywood was a bonus on maybe the '99 IBR and bonus locations were pretty available back then. A real big crowd showed up at Dollywood and caused the security people there to interfere with the rally riders some how. I can't remember just what they did but the whole thing turned in to a cluster.

Us armchair rally watchers are the least of a rally masters concerns.

Then there is a flip side. The '13 IBR was like a black hole compared to past IBRs. No post- rally rider's scorecards... Most good info came from individuals like our own Jason's tracking videos and of course the forum's discussion was tops.

In MERA's 2012 10n10, Brian R. Did some wonderful daily reporting. And Rick... Wasnt the 07 IBR the one that included outside assistance?

Hoping next years IBR will be easier to follow.

Totally digging watching this rally!!! Our very own FJR rider is way in the lead. Everyone cheer for him!!!!!

They are all heading towards the barn now. The report said Bray was rear-ended in Louisianna. Man, some top riders went out of this one.

Good opportunity for a top 10 finish and a ticket punched to the big dance next July.

Damn shame for Eric. He was well placed after the first leg.

I only met Eric once ... He scored me at the 2013 Big Tex Rally ... very nice guy.

He finished the '13 IBR at #7

I got a chance to speak with him at STAGECOACH last year.

He and Coons were both top 10 in the IBR last year.
I haven't seen Eric since that rally. Between him and me we managed to lose 2000 points that we both agreed I had earned ... It's a long story. That dropped me from 10th to 20th in the standings.

It happens, there is always another rally ... In fact, there is one in a couple of weeks and I am looking forward to riding in Colorado :D

And maybe you'll get scored by Eric again. He's HW3 staff :)

And yes, major bummer on his incident. But at the end of the day, he walked away, and that's all that matters.

I see they have posted some finish pictures. Josh looking way too fresh after the monster rally he completed.

Derek at the end of the scoring table, My fingers are crossed for the FJR riders!

Now get some sleep Mike!

Got a notice- Josh won with HUGE miles. Mike left some big points at the table and finished 24th.

Congrats to all !!!

Now I need to get some sleep and head down to Key West at 2:30 am to witness the start of a UCCC ride to DEADHORSE and

back. I am sure someone will post the complete results by the time I return.
