I just ordered tires from Cycle Tech in Loves Park (just north of Rockford, IL) yesterday. They are a smaller independent shop and do good work. I don't know if they would have what you need in stock, but you can call them at 815-877-0614. Ask for Eric after 10:00 am, since it seams like he handles all the ordering.

I know he said they were busy as all hell, but it's worth a phone call. Being out near Rockford means you could avoid the Chicago traffic if you want on your trip. Cycle Tech isn't the cheapest, but like I said, they do good work and I trust them. Good Luck.

We're in Albert Lea, Minnesota for the night, tonight.

Heading to Chicago tomorrow via Hwy 90.

We'll be there for 2 nights.

One of the VFR riders wants new rubber before we get to Deal's Gap.

We're using the GPS's to plan the route.

WOW, did not realized you were already on the way and so close. I never buy my tires locally, simply refuse been raped by local stealers. If I absolutely had to buy and install at the dealer would go to Nielsen in Lake Villa at 83 and 120 847-359-3000. You can also try Des Plaines Honda 550 E Northwest Hwy

Des Plaines, IL 60016 (847) 699-9600. They seem to be OK and if I am not mistake they have an FJR rider working there. Gary is his name tall white haired speed demon :)
