No where here in the states is it anywhere near as bad as what I experienced in Saudi Arabia. Try driving they downtown Dharan at rush hour. They had 3 traffic lanes and there were usually 5 lanes of vehicles. Most Saudi nationals I saw driving had one hand on their cell phone and the other glued to the horn button. They used to love any large white GM sedan, usually a Caprice, Delta 88, Bonneville, or Roadmaster. The TCN's (third country nationals, immigrants from like Pakistan) were the ones driving the rusted out POS Toyotas and Datsuns. The rule of the road was whoever is in front has the right of way, so go ahead and make that right turn from the left lane the other guy has to stop. Stop signs were optional and posted speed limits were a suggestion, usually ignored. Pedestrians beware!
I'll take rolling roadblocks over that anyday!
