I don't care.

I had a magnificent 8 mile ride in to work tonight. And I will have another magnificent 8 mile ride back home at 6 in the morning. I guess I will just keep doing that...

Seriously glad you had a good time. And I appreciated the pics you texted me. I showed them to Mrs. Redfish hoping she would feel sorry for me. She just encouraged me to get to work so I could earn her some more money.

On a side note- does your external temp consistently read 4-5 degrees high, under all conditions?

Must have been chilly last night. Scar's temp readout was 33F this morning on my ride home from work. I was thinking about you and your tent. My Harley riding coworkers and I were discussing it and looking at camping gear on the 'net. I was happy to crawl into my nice warm bed this morning.
Of course I am a bit jealous. I will be thinking about this on my ride in to work tonight.

I don't know. I think it is pretty close, kinda, sorta, maybe, but not quite plumb nearly accurate.

When I had my ST1300 and Pop would be on his FJR our ambient temp indicators were never in agreement. We were always at least two degrees apart. Of course I would tell him that if Yamaha could not even get the thermometer to work right the rest of his FJR must really be a POS. But how to measure accuracy of temperature? Against what? Heaven knows I don't believe the Weather Channel.

Thinking back, I do recall the ST1300 and the FJR temp matching one time. Both bikes were reading 101F on Hwy 287 in Texas. It felt like we were riding in the barrel of a giant hair dryer.

Back on topic, 'Pants. Where the hell is our Ride Report? Our pictures? You have a responsibility as one of Southern FJR riders to post things so our Northern (Snowed IN) Brethren will see something besides the inside of their cages.

This is ridiculous. Bunch of southerners talking about cabin fever? You don't know the meaning of the words.

Yup, I SAW my bike in the garage the other day. Had little frost marks all over it. Dash is still out from when I pulled the battery (no point in re-installing it, I'll just have to yank it out again in the spring).

Lets see now, I think it's been since the end of October when I last rode. Probably be until at least Mid-April before I get it out again..

Where's the remote....

As always... I will be riding mine all the way to work tonight. Then all the way back home in the morning. For variety I will swing by the grocery store on the way in, it is my night to cook supper for the crew.

I don't have much time to ride it but at least I ain't snowed in.

I'll second that. Living in the Deep South definitely has some major advantages. First, and foremost, being the 12 month riding season. Although I will admit to shutting down some riding in the heat of summer here versus the cold of winter elsewhere. But that's what early morning rides are about, isn't it?!?

rainy now, but tomorrow, sunshine again! Heading to Galveston Saturday, coming home Sunday. Life on the gulf coast is not bad if you are a biker!
