My cuz was riding over by Nashville and stumbled upon this cager Deer Strike.

Here's the Front end

Here's a little bit different angle which shows 1/2 of the forest rat

Here's the other half of the deer in the bed of the truck.

Can you imagine hitting one of them and it going over the handle bars doing 50 or so? :assassin: :assassin: :assassin:

That's disgusting. Bet the driver's glad they'll most likely total that rig, you'd never get the smell out (just ask Warchild).

Holy #&@!

I don't even feel safe in my cage now.

The closest I've ever come to joining the crash club was when I almost hit a deer.

I sure feel lucky now.

One of our Boy Scouts who moved off to college had a deer come through the windshield. Broke it's back, but they had to bail out because of the snapping and pawing with the front hooves! Nasty creatures need to be hunted and eaten!

It would clean you off that bike like a fly being swatted, and leave you in a similar condition.

I had one airmail the hood of our Camry a couple years back. They can get high enough to miss your bike altogether. Best to slam your head into the tank and quick-pray, then try to keep from crashing after it passes. From my rabbit strike, I learned animals are hard when hit at high speed, and best avoided at almost all cost, short of taking on a stationary object or another vehicle.

Last spring, during my practice run at my California 1500, I almost hit a vulture at about 75. That would not have gone well for either of us.

This video is probably old news, but for anyone who hasn't seen it, here's a clip of a doe darting out between two bikes and jumping over a third in the oncoming lane:

I can't imagine being in the shoes of the guy driving that truck in the first post. Not only does the deer total his new truck, but to add insult to injury he gets sprayed with blood, gore and half-digested deer ****. I don't think I would've been able to keep my lunch down.
