there is a lot to be said for old school - map and sticky dots.

a helpful thing would be to use your mapping program to find stuff that you don't know location. THEN put it on your map. Or indicate on a mapping program.

Stand back - get the overall feel for what you just marked and perhaps what you think you can make. THEN - and only then commit to the gps. Not sure you even needed a gps for this rally as most things were pretty well marked. This time you took to load took away from your planning. I know I have done the same thing.

I'm also not sure about gerlach between the 2nd and 3rd CP's. Perhaps you could have, but I think it would have been better to do it after the 3rd cp.

more later.

"I think we all want to be as badass as Turbodave when we are his age!"

Shit, I wish I was badass as Dave right now..

Vector,

don't beat yourself up too bad.

You learned a hard but valuable lesson. I learned from Gary Eagan that as SOON as you realize you made a mistake, GET OVER IT and move on. NOW!

Trust me, I've been there done that. It's hard to stomach, but part of becoming a better rallyist.

All you guys are improving with every rally, it's nice to see.
