Can an '05 top case be adapted to a '16 1300A?

I am about to swap my 2005 1300A that I've put 73,000 miles on for a 2016 . Does anyone know if the '05 top case can be fitted to the '16 with the right / correct installation kit used on the '16's rear rack? Hate to spring for the cost of a new top case if my perfectly good old one can me made to fit. Appreciate any advice.

Yes it will fit. 39l I do believe

I am using my 2003 (silver) box on my 2018

I would suggest springing for the stronger metal Yamaha rack

FJR Commander, thanks again for your reply. None of my local dealers seem to have a clue . I got to Yamaha customer service and got a part number for the mounting rack that fits the 2016 and for the Yamaha factory 50 liter case which is what I have. Is that what you used?
