I bent these wheels by hitting something on the interstate at 85 mph. I have since got new wheels and tires. I didnt just want to scrap them if they could be fixed. My main cocern is saftey I will scrap if I have to but if they could be fixed right I would be interested. Also who would do something like this.

google a search on rim repair. There are some companies out there that can fix rims. Not sure if it is cost effective or not - but it is doable. That picture doesn't look like they are damaged sufficiently to trash them - but I'm no expert.

You could always use them for snow tires or something?

There are some wheels for sale on ebay right now. Don't remember what year/model or if know if the years are interchangeable, but worth looking into.

Did a quick search online. Looks like about $120- $150 per rim, not including shipping at several locations.

Give David Moore Wheel Service a call 760-240-3543. I have used him a couple of times over the years with great success.

There's a bunch of rim repair places that you can send 'em to. Buy any MC or Auto rag and look in the back advert section. You want to choose a service that can X-ray the rims to check for cracks. Unbending them will prove fruitless, as well as deadly, if they have unseen cracks.

Thanks for the info I didnt relize it would be so easy to find someone to fix em. I should have checked better before buying new ones.

I used M.C. Wheel in NH for my rear wheel. Unnoticeable and perfectly straight when they returned it. Approx. $135 repaired and shipped back to you. They claim to have done over 40,000 wheels. I know they did a Hell of a job on mine.

And about the whole "stress crack" thing.....if you saw some of the wheels they've repaired, you'd never think it could be done. These guys are good.

Ok one more question. Those nice Avons only have 1800 miles on them are they toast or would they be okay to use. Would the impact that bent the wheel do hidden damage to the tire.

Oh yeah. It had to compress the tire to get to the rim, the tire did the bending via the obstruction. I'd write 'em off were it me, but a very careful inspection might mark them 'useable'.
