Apologies Pierre that was out of line, no disrespect intended.Ne vous en faites pas vous aurez un Québécois de moins !
Ohh it is true you Canadians have problems reading french, so I will translate it for you:
Don't bother you will have one less Quebeckers !
See I do not have problem doing my best in english because this is an American forum, never heard comments
from them about my poor english, I respect them and I think they respect me.
I do not want to start a war here, but keep in mind the word "respect''
Okay, I guess a bit of an update is in order. I spent a couple days over the xmas break and took a road trip across to Hwy 60 to huntville, then back through Haliburton and Bancroft.Okay folks. Now that it is 2007, any dates confirmed for the Ontario FJR Rally?Canadian FJR
Hi....er....ah TinkerI just caught this thread. I'm will pencil the dates in, either weekend can be made to work for me with Sep weighted a bit more heavely. I am seriously looking foreword to this one.
Jeez, a reasonably civilized, semi-literate human being with good intentions and an abiding desire to learn more about different cultures and people...sounds like a statement for a citizenship application :dribble: And not being another handsome ***/alcohol/drug-crazed Californicator...doesn't sound like you're much fun, or at least wouldn't fit in very well with Bugr and MikeWell, yeah I live in California. I pretty much ride where I feel inclined to. Haven't been shot at, yet. I've never ridden in Canada though I've "always" wanted to. I've had my shots, have a valid Passport, inshurance, driving license, tent, sleeping bag etc. and lots of maps. If it helps any I do listen to CBC most days and I don't make jokes about Canadians. I've been known to laugh at selected Canadian jokes, then again I laugh at Yank jokes blond jokes, cop jokes et all and of course motorcycle jokes.
I hope this will convince you and others that I am a reasonably civilized, semi-literate human being with good intentions and an abiding desire to learn more about different cultures and people. I also enjoy riding my '03FJR.
See, Im not just a another handsome ***, alcohal and drug crazed Califonicator!
Most of this would be better read as it was written, with held tongue firmly in cheek.
Cordially and hopefully
Tinker
Ah ha! I knew it!...Seriously, the only thing you really have to worry about is whether you can handle Canadian beer, keep track of your souvenir receipts so you can claim your GST rebate as you leave, and survive a bunch of hosers saying 'eh' in between bites of backbacon

Yup that's what I was thinking... but gypsy is right... if you are coming this far you got to see Nova Scotia and the other Altantic provinces..Tinker,
I think Huron52, like me, thought you were saying that you were available only for the weekend. I thought you had seen 'Ontario' in the post thread and assumed 'Ontario, CA'. We should know that people on this board know their geography better than most. Sometimes we fall back to the stereotypical "Americans bring skis to Canada in July". Which of course is ridiculous...it's probably only 1 in 3
I am sure it would be great to have event participation from so far away. And if you are coming as far as Ontario you may want to continue on to Nova Scotia. Great place to ride.

Don't like backbacon? Don't care about Timmy's? And care less about hockey, at a time when our defending champion national junior team is about to go up against the Russians for another Gold Medal? Taberwet! Ce n'est pas tres Canadien traditionnelle...Next you'll be saying you pass on maple syrup and prefer Wiser's Old (ptui) over CC...I don't really like back bacon and I don't like beer. I prefer regular bacon and whiskey. I say about, not aboot. The last letter in the alphabet is Zed, not Zee.
I don't care about Tim Hortons, I don't drink coffee.
I could care less about hockey, I have better things to do.
But still, I am Canadian.
Merci, bonne journee.
So, Sept you say for a Rally. We will see if I am not working.
Only 1 hour away from the radiation. I ride by it from time to time.riding too close to Pickering
I would worry about that place ... It is run by the Ontario Government. <_<Only 1 hour away from the radiation. I ride by it from time to time.riding too close to Pickering
