Canceling Plans For EOM

Hey people,,

it is with great dissapointment that I must say that I will not be comming this weekend,, I have been looking forward to this all summer,, planning routes ,, and gathering people to ride down with ,, talking online with some great people in the community ,,

we are experiencing a family emergency ,, my family has had an intervention for my nephew ,, ( more like my son) his dad died when he was 12 ,, and I have tried to be there for him over the past 6 years ,, you just never know what life will throw at you,, my friends say that life is what happens while you are making plans ,,

I am going to make arrangements to send the item that my buddy at Motorcycle Trends in Roanoke had prommised,, maybe Bill or Heidi will have some room ,, it's a very nice ,, small ,, Joe Rocket tank bag ,, I have also canceled my reservation at Dock's ,, a cabin by the river,, so if anyone needs a last minit room ,, #16 is available as of tonite ,,

I hope to see lots of fotos posted next week ,, and will miss meeting all y'all ,, if you find yourself comming through Roanoke give me a holla ,,

Well, I'm wondering what's up. William, you still want to meet up at the BRP & Rte 58 & ride together?

Well Sparky, I do understand... & sorry this is happening & hope all comes out ok. I just gotta' make some new plans... um, think Heidi, Think!

Please let me know how everything turns out & maybe we can catch up towards the end of the year sometime.

Hahaha! I just tried to call Rick... I left my cell phone at work AGAIN!

Anyway Sparky... if you can get that tank bag to where William & I are meeting at 58 I'm sure that we'll find some way to get it down to Townsend. I'm not sure if I'll have enough room to fit the bag in with my stuff. I might be able to fenagle something with my seat pack & get it in there... or in the rain cover/contractor grade plastic bag that's covering my seat pack.

Let me talk with Rick. I'm not sure if he plans on taking off into NC before the parkway, or what. Let me run some recon & find out.

Hey Sparky,

Sorry to hear you won't make it. I understand you're troubles... I'm currently in Florida dealing with some family issues of my own. Not quite enough to keep me here, but I'm gonna have to be coming back to finish them off.

Anyway, if you can work out the bag, great. If not, send me a message telling me EXACTLY what it is and I'll give it away anyhow. I can swing by on the way back from the EOM and then arrange shipping to the lucky recipient or smthng if it doesn't make it to the meet. We can work out something. There may actually be a couple of "proxy" give-aways due to some shipping snaffus, but none that I wasn't aware of, and I haven't announced most of them anyway (I was kind of keeping a few surprises in my back pocket... y'all will just have to wait and see).

I'm leaving from waynesboro EARLY Thurs am (prob between 5 + 6) I could give you a call from somehwere (your choice) and meet you to take the bag (then I'd be left "holding the bag" ) My plan is to blitz the BRP start to finish (with linville falls detour included) on thurs--should have time to stop and get the bag...
