I have an Escort X50 that I tried to hook up through my Starcom advanced and when plugged into the accesory cord from Detector to the starcom I Hear nothing. I called Jeff at Bike Effects who I bought my starcom through and he sold me a cord that is supposed to work but when I plugged it all in today I still hear nothing. I need to get ahold of Jeff But he is closed on Sunday I am sure so I figured I would ask here to see if I can get it going tonight. Anyone else ran into this problem. I have the External audio cord going from my Escort to the AUX input on my Starcom Advanced. I also tried it on all my other input on the starcom but no luck. Anyone help out???? Thanks....

I replied to your PM. Sounds like you got the cord backwords.

Yep you are both correct. I went out after posting this message and flipped the cord. It just seemed like the straight end of the cord would plug into the Starcom and the one with the 90 degree would go to the X50. Guess I was wrong. Next time I will read the instructions..... Thanks for the prompt replies........

One suggestion, keep your volume dial on the Escort down to low, 'cause when it goes off it will scare the **** out of you.

Ask me how I know. Man those front forks compressed so far, the cop could see it from half a mile away, but he didn't get a reading. Works with Laser very well too, you will be pleased.

I stock a special cable (not listed on my web site) to reduce the volume of the X50 going into the Starcom. The standard cable and even the Starcom attenuated cable does not reduce the volume enough for some people.

I've got the stock cable and seems to work fine with vol adjust on the RD. No problems.
