For reasons of my own preferences, I wanted the controller for my heated vest there, rather than up under the bars where the heated grip control is, so I put on the scratch protector, and then the velco on top of that. But I don't want the velcro getting ruined when I don't have the controller there, and the black patch was kind of boring.
