Oh how I miss Fresno....the hub for most anyplace worth seeing in CA...sigh
Not to mention decent housing prices, at least for a while. Get 'em while they're cheap!

Built a 1,900 sq ft house in 2,000 for $125,000 and sold i in '04 for $250,000. Have prices gone back down?
NO!! Bob is speaking in comparative terms. The same house would sell for $450K in JB's neighborhood. :dribble:

Er...someone warn fjrchik to NOT look at the pictures in this thread.
Too late!! And your PM didn't help the cause either mister! :D

Some pretty awesome pics there Michael. Truly beautiful. I hope to ride PCH someday, hopefully next summer.

You won't make the "Gathering of the Clans", June 6-8th? If you only "lived" in CA...... ;) :yahoo:

i know, i know, and i can't tell you how badly i want to be there. i believe it will happen at some point within the next year or 2. i've been doing some job and apartment shopping online already. still figuring things out and contemplating decisions.

i know my FJR will be a lot happier in CA too!!

Thanks for the ride! Maybe on the way home from NAFO I can get someone to show me aorund.

There are a number of CA riders who can help you. Oner note: The coastline and roads are very different below San Francisco vs. North of the Golden Gate.

To me, while they are both pretty rides, the Northern Hwy 1 is much twistier so I have to concentrate on the road more than enjoying scenery...the experience is just a bit different. If you can, start as far South as you're able. IF not, enjoy whatever you can manage to ride.

Dang it Michael! So close to Creston! Next time? Overnighter? You missed many of the Best roads..

Very nice report, happy you had a great ride!

Oh, and I see a new sign has been erected so all now can find the secret Creston hideaway..

Nice report! I'm green with envy :puke:

It makes me sick that I've only seen that part of the country either flying above or through the windshield of a rental crap... er I mean car.
