I'm going to visit Castaic Lake off hwy 5, may even take lake hughes road to elizabeth road (if open) and go home from there. I'll be leaving early from south orange county in Laguna Hills. Starbucks at El Toro and Valencia, kickstands up at 0800 am.

This could be good if the rain clears tomorrow morning. How early?????

7:18pm -- I should have thrown some soap on the bike before I left! Those FJR Northerners must have been doing their rain dance again. Otherwise, Good Ride!

We just had a great ride, it started off very wet and drizzling, but as we got on the 210, the roads dried off. We got to Castiac lake early, and wanted to explore the backroads further. The Lake Hughes road to Elizabeth is one beautiful country side. Wished all the clouds were gone, but it was still a nice road to ride. We had the backside all to ourselves, and eventually saw some riders on the way to 138. Thats when it got windy, however you couldn't beat the great sunny weather on the landcaster side. We stopped for lunch at the Black Angus, and had probably one of the biggest hamburgers I've had in a while. Great food, Dan "will write up" that later. For now, 380 miles logged on my bike today, and now if you excuse me...I have more turkey to finish.
