I had the same thought... Must be the small town syndrome.Just caught this on comcast this morning.

So he had no license plate? Is the town that small that everyone knows everyone? I guess my questions is how did they know it was 'him'?
   :rofl:Somebody thank that guy for "taking one for the team".
If he ran and unless the officer who was sitting there did keep him in sight! A Crown Vic can accelerate pretty well to about 130 and if the guy went that fast I doubt this was a tight and twisty road.I would think that a decent atturney would have that tossed out in 5 minutes... No positive on the plates or the face.. didnt keep in constant visual contact.. extreemly common color of jacket and not the only bike that color im sure.
I'm gonna have to agree with Vandy on this one. There is no way a Police Interceptor would ever catch that bike. It has been a while, but at 156mph, the bike is traveling at about 234f/s; almost an entire football field. It takes a PI almost 10 sec to get to 60, and easily another 10 to get to 100. Add 10 to get to 130, thats 30 seconds. The bike is now 7020ft (2340 yards) or 1.33 miles ahead and still pulling away if it hasn't slowed. If that cop didn't catch him, the rider should have gotten away since there were no plates. I would bet it is either a small town or the guy is well known for being a PITA and they knew who to look for. However, a good atty could probably get a good dismissal based on reasonable doubt. It's the same reason a shoe print is crappy evidence. There are too many of the same shoe running around. Something else is needed. Maybe they had it, maybe they didn't, but funny **** either way.If he ran and unless the officer who was sitting there did keep him in sight! Mr Carmel has been a speed trap forever. If you're updating your database, add Erwin, Bean Station, Rogersville, Bulls Gap, the Rest Stop and Weigh Station area a few miles before I-81 merges into I-40, and last but not least Johnson City/Elizabethton, mostly on the freeways.Time to add another speed trap to the database.

Not going to touch that one with a 10-foot pole.... I can name a few likely candidates :clapping::rofl:
Hmm, they really shouldn't have said the cameras can record someone up to 200mph. I can just see the 'Busa guys testing that out. Well, the ones who find that little wire anyway...
Um...If you spend your money on photoblocker, you are gonna pay for a can of that and then a ticket. The stuff doesn't work, neither does wrapping your license plate in celophane. The only "blocking" plates I have seen that do work have a strip through the center of the plate that obscures the numbers beyond a certain angle. Since the cameras have to be mounted on either side of the street or overhead, the obscuring strip prevents the person eventually reading the plate from a picture from seeing the whole thing. h34r: However, if you are stopped with one of these on your car, it is obvious what it's for and you may get cited. They make them for cars and motorcycles and they are easy to find on the internet.Yeah....It's called PhotoBlocker.....you can buy it online but most states have made it illegal to use.......... :glare:
