Just wondering if any of you forum members that might use a CB radio for bike-bike communications have had to install any noise suppression devices to obtain satisfactory radio performance?

I'm interested in an answer to that question too. I did a quick test with the iphone and charger, didn't hear any noise.

Iphone operates on a very different frequency which is much less suspectible to RF and emi noise. CB is in the 27 mhz band and more prone to niose from other electronics, alternator noise , etc etc.

Wait... if you suppress the noise coming from a CB, what else does it do?

CB noise has been a bit of a problem. Motorcycles in general have CB issues because they do not have a good ground plane like an auto installation. There are a number of threads on CB noise, but some clever people here have called a Cee Bailey windshield a CB and talked about CB (wind) noise so the search is polluted with different types of CB noise.

One thing I learned about CB noise during the 10/4 Good Buddy era is that you can stop all the noise easily, simply turn the button to the OFF position.
