OK, I couldn't edit my other thread to warn folks on lower connection speeds about pics I took at the request of a poster in that thread, so I'll house the images in this thread. My impressions can be read here, in the original thread.

Pictures taken form the rider's position were done so from my actual eye height and location, so when you see the shots looking through the screen with it raised and lowered, that's the point of reference. My personal specs can be found in the original thread (but here you go anyway: 6" tall, 30" inseam).

Now, onto some of the pics... the rest (10 more) can be found in this webshots album.

That shield looks mighty nice!
However, what kind of sick person has a garage like that?
What, you mean clean? LOL This is our temp house from our relo. Still moving into the leased house across town. ;) Still, the garage will remain as clean as this. ;) Oddly enough, my wife and I think a garage is for parking vehicles in. I know, I know, crazy Canadians and their wacky ideas!

Damn, now i'm wondering if my 4 plus 4 will fit... looks like it wouldn't if u add an inch to ur width
I suspect it will. I'm guessing the extra width isn't at the bottom as much as at the top. ;)

Thank you for posting this. I have been looking for a shot of a taller shield for my 2009 FJR. This shows me exactly what it will look like. Same bike as I have.

Shoot, my +6 +4 fits just fine. They do test-fit prototypes, ya know. It even doesn't hit my vstrom hand guards like my OEM touring shield did.

It's like riding a Goldwing now, but with handling and power and looks good too.

I got an email that my +4 +2 flip was shipped yesterday. Can't wait to be able to keep the cold air off me without a deafening roar across the helmet. Looks like the stock shield will be the better summer setup.
