With the '05 stock windshield, full up at 70mph seems to cause a nice push on my back which actually makes it feel that less power is needed. Could this be? What about on the CB's and Rifle's tuned or not? Any strange effects at 100+mph (or in case there is a strong wind from behind - Radman, not from yourself)? Side wind issues? With topcase or not?

How 'bout your pillion's comments (other than, 'Slow down! You're going too fast!, etc.).
Other then Kimber's comments of "Speed up!! Pull another wheelie!!, Smoke that ******* on the XX", she has noticed a bit more dirty air with the Rifle on then the stock 04 screen. However, I think your going to get that with any of the bigger sheilds.

The bigger screen does seam to give her a bit more protection though.

(Kimber got her ss1k and bb1.5k and did almost 15k miles last year from the back seat = super girl!)

My CB is superior in every area to the oe shield. I use a homemade tuning block consisting of 2 3/8 nuts and longer screws. The block makes a big difference in the shield and the range of positioning it affords.

thug asked about toecutter threads...riding suits...found this post about riding gear, not sure if the picture earlier shows them in the kevlar:

"Same results for me with my click here Cycleport Air Mesh Kevlar riding apparel (Jacket and pants). Since this is a new forum, I'll hop up on my safety apparel soapbox....<...>...There's a lot more expense to motorcycling than the bike itself. Treat yourself and your pillion to some quality safety apparel."

I put on a Cee Bailey +2/+2 when I first got my '04 FJR, replaced with a +4/+4 Cee Bailey standard contour. Love it, I'm exactly 6 feet tall and it's perfect for me. When I'm riding in town at lower speeds, I leave the windscreen down and enjoy the air flow.

My advice would be to get the +4/+4 Cee Bailey, you can always lower it down to whatever level you're comfortable with, depending on your riding style, speed and weather conditions.
