OK I did a search and did not find what I need to ask about installing a Centech AP2 fuse block, if my question is answered elsewhere, sorry.

I want to install the fuse block either under the drivers seat or in the rear seat tail section and before I order I need to know the length of wire harness I need. I will be getting it from Eastern Beaver, I think my best solution would be to order the length of wiring harness to go to the rear tail section and not have him install the lugs to fit in the fuse block. That way I can see where it fits best for me and cut the wires accordingly. It is so much easier to cut extra length than to add extra wire.

OK so my question is how long of wiring harness do I need to go from the battery to the tail section. I am not going to do a halfa$$ed install I will run the wires along the frame in a wire loom. And what is the best length from the battery to add the main fuse and relay.

By the way this is for a 2007 FJR.

Thanks everyone

Lori

If you need help with the install, I'm going under the knife next Friday (25th) and will be home for 2 weeks recovering. You could bring the bike over here and I can either show you how to do it, or help you. You don't need to order a pre-made harness, I can make the connections for you. Solder, heat shrink, solid.

Anything for a fellow Portlander.

My point exactly, Jeff.

Don't worry folks, he knows exactly what I'm getting at. And I know he's reading this.

I'd take Ponyfool up on his offer. And, no need to buy a pre-cut wiring harness.

I have a BlueSea fuse block under the passenger seat. I put solder and heat shrink on the lugs, attached the lugs to the fuse block, ran the wires thru fiberglass loom (from JC Whitney) and cut to length to fit at the battery terminals...again, w/ solder and heat shrink on the battery terminal lugs. Or, maybe it was the other direction...I forget. Anyway, this is easy-peasy and no need to purchase the harness.
