Rick, Bill and I started a quick conversation about next year's CFO. Since we overlapped with EOM this year, and EOM is hosting NAFO next year I think we decided to wait until after the NAFO announcement to start asking when/where people would like CFO to take place.

I've just one thought from this year. We picked WI because it meant we could draw on the MSP and Chicago area riders...but, with that are being so close to those riders are they as interested? I have to ride at least 400 miles to get good roads, so I'm hosed no matter what. If I knew of really good roads withing 150-200 miles of my house I'd be there every chance I could.

Do we want to go back to LaCrosse?

Do we want to look at the area around St Louis?

Could we ask FJRChik if it's ok to go to the ozarks (Eureka Springs, where SFO is held in the spring)??

Other areas???

I don't care...I'm not even sure I'll attend anything but NAFO next year.

La crosse was good I think we can change up on the motel more than likely. My company belongs to a site called check inn now so maybe I can do some seaching there. Have 6 other options in la crosse alone in my manual.

One idea if we want to move south into missouri would be the West Plains area great riding and much cheaper. I checked on the 2 hotels in the area 50-55 per nite one has restraunt in it and free hot breakfast every morning, 4 bars in area but no large meeting room. They do have a civic center close by with rooms to rent.

I drove truck in the area a few times and it's only good for FJR's. Just a thought!

Where I stayed, I spoke with the owner. I have a business card with rates. They have a conference room for 40. They don't have a restaraunt and are willing to get local caterers arranged, etc etc. www.brookstoneinn.com

The beds were a little hard, but it was clean.

Hey Dale, besides the Brookstone what are the other La Crosse hotels in your book? Missouri might be OK but you'll need to find another rally master in that area and those SFO folks can get kinda touchy about getting too close to their area.

I don't think MO or AR would be a problem. The last person making the attempt was as polite and tactful as a bull in a glass factory. ********* aside, SFO's dates/location are already set. I bet it we asked nicely about a fall date it would be accommodated. I have a feeling it would be more expensive though...
