By popular request your hard-working CFR committee has secured a new banquet hall in Nakusp, so we can increase registration from the original 100 souls to 120. Taking care of those who were on our waiting list has put a sizable dent in the "new" 20 tickets, so if you're lurking and really, really would like to come to Canada this June - giddy-up!

We still have a few rooms at the Selkirk which should soak up the extra players.

When these tickets are gone, they're gone folks, and there won't be another sequel! So please don't delay if you want to be at the "the" regional rally in 2009!

Go to the CFR website at https://www.cfr.fjrrally.com/ and do your thang!

If WebGuy Jeff doesn't have the PayPal link restored yet, you can still register, and we'll send you a separate link to get you through to PayPal.

Thanks for your interest - Nakusp is going to be a par-ty!!

Fellow Desert Rat Zonies: Yours truly will be calling each of you today, to get you off of your dead asses to register for this!

Come on, I know it is hard to leave our beautiful Phoenix, AZ 111 degree Fahrenheit days in June for a foreign land where believe it or not, moisture actually falls from the sky and their version of our beloved cactus is green. And I know that their tamales, tortas and posole doesn't taste as good as ours in Casa Grande; hell, I don't even know if Canadians can spell tamale, torta and posole. But I've heard that with the right amount of Aguascalientes hot sauce, back bacon es muy bueno!

So, leave your pet Gila Monster at home; chase the scorpions out of the saddlebags and load up for a Northern Expedition.

Just a note: You'll need to buy a real riding jacket, our Joe Rocket ventilated Phoenix coats aren't enough. And we will have to special order rain gear, since none of us own any. We'll have to bring our tequila y mezcal, as no agave grows in B. C.!

There is a good little mexican resturant just down the road from the rally. Its easy to miss but the food was great the last time I was there.

Thank You, Ray; You Are A Good Man! I find it hard to survive long without la comida Mexicana. Except for my overseas tours in the US Army and working six summers in Alaska, I have never lived more than 110 miles from the Mexican border!

PayPal link is restored for new registrations! Remember that your Registration is not complete until payment is received and confirmed by the Registrar.

Note: The 'Players' page will be updated shortly to show all confirmed players. When your registration has been confirmed you will be on the list!

Having golfed with you in Golden, Toe, and hearing stories of your heroics throwing tractor tires around, I'm not quite sure how to answer this? What would you consider "non-riding" distance - 26 miles?

Seriously the hall is a short 2 blocks from the Kuskanax and less than three blocks from the Selkirk. And as it will include a no-host bar, we will encourage everyone to take a constitutional stroll (MadMike and MikeH can ride as they don't indulge in the demon spirits!)

Is it going to be in non-riding distance from the hotel(s)?

Mexican food. In BC..... In the Kootenays........ For people from the southern border states.........

This, I gotta see.
I may have to bring along my very own hot sauces from our Sonoran desert. I hope the Canadian Custom Agents don't think that they are incendiaries. One of these is from the favorite restaurant of SkooterG and I in Gila Bend: Sofia's Place.

Sofia has a hot sauce she won't serve you, unless you can order it en Espanol. It will burn your eyebrows off at 6" distance!

Dunno about the Kootenay's, but riding the Columbia Gorge we stumbled upon a Mexican restaurant in Stevenson that makes the BEST fresh peach margueritas on the planet. The food is well past decent as well...

Three blocks?? My God, man, I've seen a map of Nakusp. That's way the hell across TOWN!!!
Exactly...why do you think the Kuskanax has an "on site" liquor store???

That should answer Toe's questions about whether it's legal to publically stumble in Canada... B)
