Gee! that's too bad. My husband (who doesn't ride) thinks it's great that I go off on my motorcycle to hook up with a bunch of strange guys guys I don't know (CFR 2008) ;)
Mary Ellen, just strap your husband on the back of the bike! ;) ...and bring him along.
I don't think we were that bad last year.... were we?

As for strapping him on the back of the bike.... He might just hoist a sail... :coolsmiley:

Hoisting sails...I hope that's not some sort of code thing. :)

Just to clarify for those of you that did not meet my wife at CFR last year. I've been married for 13 wonderful years to Sue and the first thing she said to me when we got engaged was. " Honey, as long as were together you'll never have to sell your bike." !! I had to wait almost three months for a direct answer to the proposal. Unfortunatley she's been ill for the last 5 years of our marriage and just last year was well enough to attend the meet. Unfortunatley she had a bit of a relapse in the last few months, nothing to serious but putting her on the back of the bike for extended seat time might not happen this year. You know when you really want something but reality creaps in... for us it's somthing to look forward to.

Well, I for one hope that your wife gets her health back quickly.

If she dosen't make the trip this year, tell her that Ann Marie and myself will test all the dessert's for her

Hope she is feeling better soon.

Dave, Jeff, Huron 52 : Thanks for the quick reply.... my fault payment not proccessed. Issue's with the S/O regarding going to CFR this year. I don't expect any favours. If you don't see payment this week put me on the waiting list. Yes I really want to go but if the S/O doesn't go... I don't go. If your married you'll understand. Let the dog piling begin.
Sorry to hear about your wife. As long as you have submitted a registration (which you have) then you will be on the Waiting List once we sell out the remaining positions. Best wishes for her health!

Jeff

There's still time to get in on CFR09!... It's not too late! ;)
Yeah, well, my potential riding buddy bailed on me and there's a small issue of a couple of thousand miles (round trip) that I'd be riding alone. I confess to being a (bit of a) wimp in that regard :( .....

Mary Ellen,

Are you saying that there aren't any other Canadians you want to ride out with? I'm sure there are some going from Ontario...even though that's still aways from you.

I'm just sorry I won't get to meet you.

You guys are killin' me here !

When CFR sold out (the first time) I was kind of relieved 'cause then I could stop thinking about it. I keep dithering and it'll sell out again.

Sure, I've had a couple of offers of ON riding buddies (OK - one actual offer and one hint - Huron ;) ) - but it's a long way to ON even slabbing it. And what in the hell would I do if my wimpy butt couldn't take the 500-mile days ?! whine

I'm thinking I should start out small and then meet you all at CFR 2010 - which I figure will be back in ON or at least somewhere 000s of miles closer to the east coast ! :D

"It's only far if you don't go"

Seriously though, I understand about comfort zones. But I also understand its good push them too. Last Sept I went on my longest solo trip ever down to EOM. Keep in mind, I'd never met anybody form this forum except BugR at that point - and he wasn't going! I had a blast and learned not to hesitate attending any meet put on by the fine peeps in this forum.

You know everybody wants you to come, the choice is yours. Hope you decide too!
