Bill FYI I have no interest in doing an iron but. You wanna do that you are on your own.

I'm in for this, riding up from San Diego. Had lunch with Bill and Steve. They're all over an IB going South... not me. I'll head to the rally in Nelson, then Kelowna, then Vancouver, then Victoria (on the Island). Probably: 2 or 3 days up, 2 days at the rally, 3 or 4 days with friends and family in BC and 3 days back south. Let's get together and plan this.

Is this thing a go?
....... hope there is some behind the scenes going on...you know.... I'm just saying
Well Tom we are definitely going as it is on the way to points further north for us.

We are leaving weekend of Jun 6th, I'm expecting the daily mileage to start on the low side (for me) as Diana is laying down the law on the hours per day and this is her first continental trip riding her own bike. If we get there early there is plenty of good riding to keep us occupied.

If you and Pam fancy a trip across the top of Superior then the Dakotas to Beartooth then North from Yellowstone, Glacier and into the Kootenays let us know.

That sounds like a fun way to go...

Except for the bit about over Superior, thats my route. Planning on running the Chief Joseph up to Beartooth, skipping Yellowstone altogether then North to Glacier, this is assuming the passes are open. I've got to stop looking at the trip, just last night I was eyeballing the Badlands and the Black Hills and even Lolo Pass. I'm gonna need a week just to get to Nakusp!. I spent most of last night checking out campgrounds and alternate routes. Its a great way to pass a snowy Northern Ontario evening though.

Return trip for me is across Canada with a side trip up the Icefields Parkway (Jasper) and over Superior home.

I've pretty much committed to going at this point, and have already looked into having check in on mom daily (she's shut in) and maid service . In fact, I just purchased new camping gear as my old stuff got sold as contents when the family sold our camp ( *#$^^#%#@^ - thanks for the heads up guys!).

Regardless if CFR goes off or not, I'll be there sometime in June/July! It's one of the two big trips for me this summer, the other being EOM.

This thing is definitely a go, and we do appreciate your patience. We have no IT pros on the committee but we do have a very talented amateur who is very close to rolling out the new website.

I will make a launch post on this thread with a link to the announcement post (and ask Iggy to close this thread after that post).

Keep the faith folks!
