I wanted to post up a special THANK YOU to Andre (Leskid) on the forum, who could not attend. He was the one, along with his daughter, who found the Resort. He took the time out of is schedule last fall to scout out the many places around Mt Tremblant and talk to the managers. In the end I think he made the right choice. :drinks:
Rob

I hate to steal a quote but this time.... Rob is bang on! Excellent place this time and well worth another trip back up in the same area in the future.

For shitsakes!!! One hour and 50 minutes from Toms to Sarnia.. One hour an forty from Port Huron to Owosso.. Both about 115 miles..

The Bridge from Sarnia to Port Huron?? Say 1 and a half miles long....................

2 hours and 20 minutes :dribble: Hot, thirsty, and rather perturbed.

Thankfully the kid at the crossing was a rider and interpreted the look on my face :evil2: Maybe a half a minute to clear customs :)

I need a beer an a ****, then I'm going to start defending myself from the allegations you basties have set forth here..

A foooking amazing time !!!!

From Merriam-Webster online:

Allegation: "an assertion unsupported and by implication regarded as unsupportable <vague allegations of misconduct>"

Fact: "something that has actual existence <space explorationBustanut Joker is a 'tard is now a fact> b : an actual occurrence <prove the fact of damage that Bust is a 'tard>"

Um.... we have photos ..... :D

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black! :D Yes, we have photo's!
UNfortunately, my own cache is disappointing, to say the least. I'm on my 3rd Canon Elph ("Sure"Shot) and it's just sufficiently different that I ended up with more duds than good photos.

And before you proffer up any other reasons for this, I assure you the parking lot shenanigans had very little to do with it ;)

I'd really appreciate if you could forward me the photo's you took of Christie and I. I'll PM you my email addy. They looked great!

All I know is some of the other guests were complaining about lightning storm in the parking lot that night. :D

Arrived home today after an overnight in Bracebridge, ON with friends. 2522 kms. total and a big bagful of memories. The organizing team obviously spent a lot of time and energy for our enjoyment. Can we thank Chris, Diana, Pierre, Jeff, Andre and all the supporting cast enough? It was great to meet new friends at my first CFR event and share lots of stories.

I did have a good conversation with Barry & Sheila on Wednesday, and it was a heartwarming story about how they got together many years ago. Barry apparently insisted on making a confession during a particularly romantic moment, and whispered in Sheila's ear, "I love ewe, dear". That clinched it for her. And I asked her why she always seems to have a perpetual smile, and she gave me some good advice, "No matter who you work for, make sure there's a good drug plan".

Thanks to Yamafitter for the great ride up on a whole variety of the good roads in eastern Ontario. If there's a suggestion for CFR 2011, perhaps we could do Calabogie and venture over to the Muskokas............ it isn't the mountains, but still good.

Thanks to all for a great time.

Drugs are always good to catch 'em with Ray

Hey the Ompah route ain't none to shabby either.Took it on the way back to Toms yesterday. :good:

Though no Tremblant area, I bet we could have a **** ton of fun over in that locale.

Right in my playground

Are you guys figuring the cottage might be free again?

I dare anyone of you to suggest that to Diana right now :p

Seriously CFR 2011 will not be in central Canada, we have a few more amazing locations to show you, discussions are already starting on where for 2011.

Chris

Regardless if the cottage is free..

After the week we just experienced you can count on Mizz bust and me to be there.

A most perfect de-flowering for the "virgin" riders that we were

Thanks again Chris!

Biker Geek is a dork!

Thanks for the reminder, Rob.

And mega-thanks to Andre for scoping out that location. It ruled!

Bummer you guys had long lines at border crossings - we crossed at C133 / I89 and had maybe a 15 minute wait. Heck - they even opened another lane due to the backup! Getting there, on the other hand, sucked, thanks to my stupid GPS changing my route and running us through about 30Km of dirt roads. Stupid GPS.

Anyway, after an uneventful ferry ride across Lake Champlain this morning, and a nice time poking around the Olympic stuff in Lake Placid, and a very nice ride through Adirondack Park (which I've been wanting to do for YEARS!!) we are west of Elmira, NY, for the night and plan on slabbing it home early in the morning.

I think they might have tossed us if the laughter kept up any longer..Hell three hours after the dinner Geek an' I were still nuckin' futs over that one!

Still Travelling...

Made it all the way through ON without a PA. :yahoo:

Sitting at a Starbucks in Winnipeg right now. Trying to decide if I'm gonna stop here or push on while I still have sunlight.

Get some sleep dood!

I'm thinkin' that sitting down at Starbucks was a bad idea... Don't feel much like getting up, yet along getting back on the bike. Maybe I should just pitch my tent in the parking lot!

Well... I gotta go somewhere... either back on the highway or to a pub... I'll see what happens after I start rolling again. :D
