I'm home. I left Matane, Quebec this morning and after doing the Gaspe I thought I would just go a little further. After several little furthers I ended up back in Nova Scotia. It ended up being a 1,200 km day. :clapping:

I better go wash my bike.

Hey Scott! glad you made it home.

OK... so I start rolling, the temp is nice, the air is fresh, so I figure I might as well burn off the tank of gas. A while out storm clouds appear from nowhere so I pull into Portage-La-Prairie and manage to find shelter from the heavy, albeit short, downpour. I move on. Figure with the delays, there is no point in getting a room so several Red Bulls later, I end up in Regina. ~1850 Km in 1 day (SS1000!) and with the previous day, ~2950 km in 2 days (BB1500!) Maybe I should get into LD riding, this IBA stuff is easy! :D

NOW I'm going to get that sleep Bungie suggested! ;)

Lucie and I are in Chicago, waiting for Crossroads to start... can't think of a better reason for a motorcycle tour :) Check out the lineup!

After, gonna poke around some of the sights in the Windy City, then start heading east... PA (Allegheny NF on Hwy 6) is on the plan, then the Adirondacks before heading into Quebec through the Townships to the in-laws.

Damn I love having 1) an ICBM for a bike B) and 2) a pillion that likes to travel

The little LUGG trailer doesn't suck either, although I can see where I'll need to make some changes prior to the next long trip.

Small world!! My son in law Pat and family are RVing through the Maritimes and stopped for the night at a campground near Gaspe. He's into long distances, racing, and all things moto and was drawn to this pretty FJR at the campground. He struck up a conversation with the owners; lo and behold it was Aldawg and Amanda on their merry adventure. I think he liked CFR :clapping:

Today, after 7 hours and about 430 miles, the Geeks are safely home. At a gas stop in northern Ohio, another FJR pulled in. It was an '08 owned by a fella who is not on the forum, but he's had an '05, '06 and now the '08 and had just gotten rid of a 'Busa. Go figure.

You'ns'all keep the rubber side down!

Home again...

Rained like cats and dogs the whole return trip from Montreal (minus my start point and terminus)

Thanks Chris, Diana, Jeff, Andre, and anyone else who assisted with the organizing and execution of this fine rally.

and thanks too, to all who attended and made the rally what it was.

Yes you, the actors and jesters that felt the rally was their stage and kept us all on our toes and laughing out loud.

That covers everyone then.

Cheers, shakin

We got back at around 1 pm, Hit some rain as we got to Ottawa but it cleared out after an hour or two.

I still have to unpack the van and post all those photo's.

We had a great time, thanks to all who came.

Ride safe and please check in when you are home safe.

After 2,815 miles and 7 days of riding, i'm home safe (at 6:45).

Spent Thursday night at Long Lake in the Adirondacks.

Then spent Friday night tent camping with Jay and the gang in West Virginia.

Drove home to VA Beach today.

Thanks so much to Chris, Diana, Andre, Jeff, Scott and the "resident brain trust" for a great rally and a beautiful location.

will post pics soon.

Safe & sound !! Amanda and I joined up with Jack & Jane (BBDIG) for a trip to The Gaspe, also. What a beautiful place to ride, and the weather was great. We will post pics soon as well. THANKS EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello everyone,

Finally got back home today.

Took a bit of a detour and ended up in Moncton, NB for a wedding. Not mine!

Felt the earthquake as I stood by the bike on Wed.

This was my first FJR rally...had a great time and I wish to thank all the hard work that the organizers did.

Made some great contacts of FJR riders in my area.

Looking forward to the next years location.

I got home last night, safe and sound. I took the long way through Michigan and stayed over a couple days.

The rally was great and I want to add my thanks to BugR and the rest of the CFR crew. The condos were great and the food was excellent, including the grilling in the parking lot.

And more thanks to BugR and Mrs. BugR (Diana) for putting up the large crew on Sunday night. :clapping:

I had a difficult time getting my head back into work today.

+1 for BugR and Mrs BugR for being our hosts on Sunday.

As for work - retire, I can recommend it highly. The only work I do these days is deciding whether to take the WR or the FJR for a spin or jump on the bicycle and get a workout.

Today I'm off with the group for a bicycle ride but I think there will be time for the FJR when I get back. Life is good. :yahoo:

Thanks for the link..... enjoy the show. Very nice line up!!!!
If you are travelling through PA check out 144 south of Galeton
Ran down 144 yesterday... thanks for the heads up :)

Edinboro to East Stroudsburg PA yesterday, and meandering up to Lake Luzerne NY today.

Back in Iberville tomorrow after lunch

Griff

Seth and I slept in Chandler last night. 14 days on the road was a blast and great Father-Son time, but always good to be back home. 114F degrees in AZ today. Oh Canada CFR, I miss you already!
