Charlie sets a fast pace so we should be over there in fine fashion! The directions on the "getting there" post were great and get my vote for the rt.6 to Pictou loop.

I've got my toothbrush and empty beer mug. Can't wait!

Heading north/east around breakfast time Thursday. Charlie and Ray feel we should get there after dinner time.

Meeting in Augusta if any late entries want to join us.

Big thanks to CharlieHoss and Arlene for impromptu TBS / dinner&dessert / ride last night. "numbing" in my fingers substantially reduced. Will be putting my new s.s. MANIC SALAMANDER bar ends on, along with grip puppies and Vista Cruize to help even more. Still need to find time for the Optilux fog lights on the forks. Weekend will be here soon.

Should be a great visit to our eastern neighbors.

After you reach Pictou be sure to finish run off by taking exit 27 to route 245, onto route 337 towards Ballantynes Cove (Sunrise Trail). This is a very pretty run. This will bring you into Antigonish which is only 50km(30miles) to the hotel. These roads are much nicer than riding the TCH-104 the whole way. Feel free to PM me with any questions.

See you on Thursday.

Four of us that I know of are riding together.

Hats off to Gasportrider and his long distance ride. Mike will be rolling into our area at 2a.m.

Polarize and I will meet him and travel up to CharlieHoss. Polarize predicting an eta of suppertime (Atlantic time).

We will be leaving from Halifax on Thursday after work. I have to stop at home pick up the wife and grab a quick bite to eat and hit the road. Hope to arrive around 9:00 or 9:30ish. I am ditching the POS bridgestone front tire and having a Diablo Strata installed tomorrow, see you all on thursday night.

Gentlemen,

At this point in the late evening and after watching every long range weather forecast I can find, I am going to cancel my trip.

I have been planning to camp for several days in the Adirondacks on my return trip. However, with the remnants of one hurricane and two on the way, it looks like I can count on a very soggy northeast after the weekend.

I hate to miss this event and I hate to miss my IBA attempt.

I will be coming to Nova Scotia in the future.

I wish you all a great rally!!

Accuweather shows weather for St. John, and hopefully we'll hold off any significant rain until Sunday. Told Charlie that maybe I won't bother to detail the bike today, then!

No VistaCruise for this ride, unfortunately. The "dual cable" Yamaha setup I ordered obviously fits older technology. No time to engineer a proper fitting. So it goes. Just like the old Mapsource Roads & Recreation I bought for my old GPS3+ does not show our neighbors in NB or NS! Ha.

Time for coffee and to reassemble the bike. Tinkering. Love those plastic rivets.

One day left.

Hi all,

I have been watching the weather and it seems to be getting better for the weekend. Tomorrow some showers, sunny Friday, overcast Saturday and then it calls for rain on Sunday but better as you move away from the coast. Hopefully the 'better' trend will continue and we will have sun on Saturday as well.
